June 27th, 2004 changed our family's lives forever, that was the day we lost Darrell in a drag racing accident in Saint Louis, Missouri. Darrell was living his dream at the time of his passing, chasing the 2004 World Championship while professionally driving a 330-mph Top Fuel dragster. Darrell had qualified number one at that race, and was at the top of his game when he was suddenly taken from us.
The support our family has received from all our friends and fans in the motorsport world has been a pillar of strength that we rely on daily. Words cannot describe how much all of your kindness has helped our family, we are so grateful to each and everyone of you who has helped us in our time of need. We will never forget what you all have done for us.
Darrell was an exceptional person, kind, loving and generous. We continually hear heartwarming stories from those who knew Darrell, and the list of the lives he touched continues to grow everyday. We have dedicated this site to Darrell's memory, and it is our hope that those of you who knew Darrell can take comfort in knowing that Darrell was doing what he loved to do. For those of you who didn't know Darrell, we hope this site will show you why he was so loved by so many…
Darrell we love you and will never forget you!
